Agenda Items:
Talent Show: The 2nd annual 2005 Talent Show is set for Thursday, January 27th at 7:30PM. Details were finalized as follows: there will be five awards given out for Most Creative, Most Talented, Worst, Funniest and Best Overall. Plaques will be the prize and will be hung up outside of the Student Services Offices on the stage. There will be five judges. Julie will ask the AD’s, staff and interns if they will be interested in judging. Will Sheridan and Karin Koller will be making the flyers and have them done and approved by student life by Tuesday, January 18th. The Talent Show shirts have been designed by a combination of the Kristen Cornicello and Veronica Alvarez. They will be white with navy writing. The team acts are due to be approved by the next SAAC meeting. (1/23)
Adopt-A-Family: Each team was given a family to adopt during the holiday season. The gifts are due wrapped and with identification tags to the Student Services Office by December 15th. If you have not received your family, please stop by Julie’s office ASAP.
Pen Pal Letters: Reminders that pen pal letter are due Wednesday, December 8th. Please remind your teammates that participate in this program. .
Student-Athlete Planner: Designs for the cover of the freshman/sophomore student planner were discussed. Suggestions and ideas for the pictures to put on the front cover included conference title winners, athletic facilities, 10 sports this year, 10 sports next year, and academic recognition (Daniel Regan Award and Nnenna Lynch Award winners). Academic recognitions was a favorite because the planner serves an academic purpose.
Big East SAAC Conference: Allie attended the Big East SAAC Conference over the weekend in Providence. She gave an overview of what laws and legislations that were discussed at the meeting. For instances, they voted instead of 5 official visits down to 4.
