About Villanova Club Tennis

The Tennis on Campus program is unique in so many ways. It bridges the gap between competitive tennis and a friendly social atmosphere. This program allows students to continue to compete at a very high level and stay active, while not having a full-time commitment. Though club sports in general are usually what you make of them, tennis is such a social sport that all the members want to participate.

The Villanova Tennis Club, currently ranked 7th in the country, participated in the National Championships for Tennis in Surprise, Arizona this past Spring, and has previously competed in the National Championships in Cary, North Carolina (in the Spring of 2008). The team placed 5th in the Silver Bracket that year. Two years ago, Villanova placed 4th in the gold bracket. At that time, VCT had been in existence for three years, so our team continues to have high standards. The main challenge that exists when participating in Team Tennis is matchups. The captains always have to be aware of how the individual is playing at the time; therefore, frequent substitutions may be made throughout a match depending on how the player feels/is playing.

One of the most important factors to the success of our team is its very close and special bond. Though we are a young team, the majority of our players being sophomores, there is great leadership up and down the chain of command.

Ticket World-Wide is a proud sponsor of the Villanova Tennis Club. We handle
tickets for a vast variety of events including the Pro Bowl, the MLB
All-Star Game, and the Women's Final Four. For twenty years we have
traded NFL Football and MLB Baseball tickets. Our favorite teams are the
Anaheim Angels, Boston Celtics, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Phoenix
Coyotes. International favorites include concerts, Theatre performances,
the Australian Open and Soccer. Need baseball tickets? Yes, we trade the
