As many already know, as a club sports organization we are constantly struggling with monetary issues.  Going to Nationals is no exception.  Our dues are already $100 and that does not include the costs of uniforms, warmups, and traveling for away games.  Currently we are pursuing fundraising ideas such as a signed Jay Wright basketball raffle, a sand volleyball tournament, fundraising days through Peace A Pizza, Maggie Moo's, and Flip N Bailey's, a Quizzo night, a 50/50 raffle, as well as reaching out to Villanova Alumni. 

      The continuance of our strong performance over the years relies heavily on this trip as we continue to improve and grow as a Villanova Club Sport.  Historically, the club attempts to go to Nationals once every 4 years so that each member has a chance to experience the 150+ collegiate team tournament.  To give a background of the tournament, it is being held at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas from April 10th-12th.  The organization that runs this huge event is NIRSA, you can access the website by clicking on the title.  Villanova school size qualified us as a Division II team and places us in a field of 48 teams from all over the country.  In our last trip to Nationals in 2003 we placed a respectable 19th out of the 48 team field.  We hope to improve on this in Dallas as we will rely on the experience of our strong senior and graduate classes.

       The total team cost which includes airfare, hotel, rental van, registration fee, and food amounts to approximately $8,500.  Of this $8,500 the school is paying for roughly 11%, which leaves us to fundraise or pay out of pocket $7,500.  So on behalf of the Villanova Men's Club Volleyball team, I am soliciting a donation from you to help us complete our season and represent Villanova University at the Collegiate Volleyball Nationals Tournament in Dallas.  If you wish to donate any amount you can click on the donation button on the right or send checks made payable to Villanova Men's Club Volleyball and can be sent to the address on the right.
